ICDO-Lalitpur is a non-profit, non-governmental network organization of Community Based Organizations (CBOs) in Lalitpur dedicated to improving the well-being of poor, vulnerable, and marginalized communities. Established in 2010, ICDO works to strengthen local institutions, promote social justice, enhance resilience, and uplift livelihoods across the southern region of Lalitpur.
ICDO-Lalitpur works to build disaster-resilient communities by strengthening local preparedness, promoting climate-smart practices, and enhancing the capacity of vulnerable groups to anticipate, respond to, and recover from disasters.
We support marginalized households in improving their income and food security through climate-friendly agriculture, skill development, micro-enterprise promotion, and better access to markets and natural resources.
ICDO empowers communities—especially women, landless, and marginalized groups—to understand and claim their rights, participate in local decision-making, and hold institutions accountable for equitable service delivery.
We strengthen local groups, cooperatives, and CBOs by building their leadership, management, and accountability systems, enabling them to operate more effectively and become sustainable community institutions.
